...Scott, 63, said she decided to run for the county seat after she saw a majority of the commission voting in a manner she says conflicts with county's comprehensive plan.  "This is the best opportunity that the management constituency has had to get a majority on the commission since three seats are open," Scott said. Martin growth debate energizes first Jupiter Island candidate, Palm Beach Post Opinion Zone 
On Tuesday, Ms. Scott spoke to commissioners “as a citizen of Martin County,” urging them to deny growth plan changes allowing Bridgewater Ventures to add 44 homes to a proposed development near Jonathan Dickinson State Park.
